Shallow Wells = Life
Covered shallow wells are essential to the well being and health of the people in rural villages. In 2006 we were able to put in 10 wells and 20 more in 2007. Our goal for 2008 is to install 50 wells for the entire region of Dzuwa and outlying areas. The gift of clean water keeps on giving to the entire village year after year and from one generation to the next.
Our Vision is Clean Water for all of Dzuwa:
There are several villages in the Dzuwa area and in
the past they have not had clean water. Dzuwa relied on
unsanitary sources as streams, swamps, rivers and self-dug open
shallow wells. The absence of clean, potable water has a
significant impact on the health of the people, causing the
spread of waterborne diseases.
In the last two years generoues donations have made it
possible to bring clean, disease free water to the following
villages affecting the lives of over 5,000 people.
